Just one more week left in the college football regular season, and you know what that means?
Bet the palace. Bet it all. How else are you going to catch up?
As usual, regard all selections that come out favorably as “clairvoyance honed by many years of cultivating sources inside the game of football.”
The wrong ones, you can blame on those abominable Big 12 refs.

Season: 66-42-2
Oklahoma State at TCU +5 1/2 — Frogs going with third-team QB and RB. TCU defense will be on field way too much. Pick: Oklahoma State
Texas at Kansas +15 1/2 — Time for the Les Miles era to begin at KU. Longhorns easily take care of business. Pick: Texas
Oklahoma at West Virginia +2 1/2 — Forecast for Morgantown is 100 percent chance of rain. In bad weather, take the home underdog. Pick: West Virginia
Kansas State at Iowa State -13 — Cyclones are going to finish with 8-win season and a nice, warm bowl. Pick: Iowa State
Baylor at Texas Tech -6 — Two teams coming off bad weeks. Tech’s a better football team. Pick: Texas Tech
LSU at Texas A&M -2 1/2 — Aggies have been a different team at home, plus it’s their Super Bowl. Pick: Texas A&M
North Texas at UTSA +24 — Too many points to give away to the Fighting Frank Wilsons. Pick: UTSA
SMU at Tulsa +1 1/2 — Mustangs punch their bowl ticket. It won’t be the Rose Bowl. Pick: SMU
Michigan at Ohio State +3 1/2 — Buckeyes are over-ranked and overrated. Time for a reckoning. Pick: Michigan
Redskins at Cowboys -7 1/2 — Washington has only one win over a team with a winning record. But Cowboys have none. I think QBs will decide it. Pick: Redskins
Jimmy Burch

Oklahoma at West Virginia + 2 1/2 — Yes, the Sooners score lots of points. But the defense is capable of allowing even more. Pick: West Virginia
Kansas State at Iowa State – 13 — Kansas State has won 10 consecutive meetings in this “Farmageddon” series. It’s hard to pick against history, Bill Snyder and the points. Pick: Kansas State
Baylor at Texas Tech – 6 – Coach Bro gets another white-knuckle, job-saving, bowl-clinching victory in a regular-season finale. Pick: Texas Tech
LSU at Texas A&M – 2 1/2 — The Aggies are 0-for-the-SEC-Era against LSU and winless against the Tigers since 1995. Why are they favored? Pick: LSU

SMU at Tulsa +1 1/2 — SMU needs this one to keep its bowl hopes alive and claims it with room to spare. Pick: SMU
Michigan at Ohio State +3 1/2 — It’s time for payback, with interest, for Team Harbaugh in this rivalry. Pick: Michigan

Texas at Kansas +15 1/2 — Longhorns aren’t mature enough to not let this one get nervous in the 4th quarter. Pick: Kansas
Oklahoma at West Virginia 2 1/2 — Just when you think you have the Big 12 figured out, you do not have the Big 12 figured out. Pick: West Virginia
Kansas State at Iowa State -13 — Cyclones have had too promising of a season to let it crater now. Pick: Iowa State
Baylor at Texas Tech -6 — Red Raiders’ offense ground to a halt last week in Manhattan, but they won’t need many points against paltry Bears. Pick: Texas Tech
LSU at Texas A&M -2 1/2 — Stubborn to a fault, I still don’t believe in the Aggies. Pick: LSU
North Texas at UTSA +24 — Mean Green have faded, but the hapless Roadrunners are a perfect pick-me-up. Pick: North Texas
SMU at Tulsa +1 1/2 — Mustangs will be going through the motions after devastating home loss to Memphis. Pick: Tulsa

Baylor at Texas Tech -6 — If Tech loses this, Todd Graham will be house hunting in Lubbock. Pick: Texas Tech
LSU at Texas A&M -2 1/2 — Coach Ed has worked magic. Jimbo? Not so much. Pick: LSU

North Texas at UTSA +24 – Mean Green too inconsistent to match that spread on the road. Pick: UTSA
SMU at Tulsa +1 1/2 – Improved Mustangs looking for bowl eligibility against a two-win team. Pick: SMU
Michigan at Ohio State +3 1/2 – Michigan is the better team and better against the spread (6-5) than Ohio State (4-7). Pick: Michigan

Last week: 2-8
Season: 48-60-2
Oklahoma State at TCU +5 ½ – No reason to think our depleted Horned Frogs can score enough. Tylan Wallace has a big homecoming. Pick: Oklahoma State.
Texas at Kansas +15 ½ – Inspired Kansas gives UT all it wants in farewell to the loyal coach, who should have done like any good McClatchy employee and left. Pick: Kansas.

Jan Hubbard
Last week: 3-7
Season: 47-61-2
Oklahoma State at TCU 5 1/2 — Cowboys are harder to figure out than the local NFL team with the same name. But they have more quality wins than the Frogs and they didn’t lose to Kansas. Pick: OSU
Texas at Kansas +15 1/2 — Longhorns off impressive wins at Texas Tech and at home against Iowa State. A victory puts Texas in championship game vs. OU. The ’Horns won’t overlook the Jayhawks. Pick: Texas.
Oklahoma at West Virginia +2 1/2 — This is the lowest spread the Sooners have had this year. They were 7 1/2 favorites against TCU and 8-point favorites against Texas. They give up nearly 30 points a game but they score nearly 50. Love the low line. Pick: Oklahoma
Kansas State at Iowa State -13 — Cyclones are 5-0 at home but that’s a big line against a team that has a nice win last week over Texas Tech. Pick: Kansas State.
Baylor at Texas Tech -6 — Impressive turn-around year for the Bears, but the Tech offense is too high-powered. Pick: Texas Tech
SMU at Tulsa +1 1/2 — Ponies have had extreme highs and lows – two-touchdown victory over Houston; blowout losses to UNT and TCU. But two-win Tulsa should be an easy one. Pick: SMU
LSU at Texas A&M -2 1/2 — Aggies are tough at home, losing only to Clemson. It won’t be easy but they should win and cover. Pick: A&M
North Texas at UTSA +24 — Mean Green will win the game, but they are 1-6 v. line in last seven games. UTSA, however, is 0-5 at home against the line. When in doubt, go with the better team. Pick: North Texas
Michigan at Ohio State +3 1/2 — Buckeyes still have a chance to make conference title game. But bottom line this year: Wolverines are better. Pick: Michigan
Redskins at Cowboys -7 1/2 — This is the kind of game a Jason Garrett team loses but in this inept division right now, the Redskins with no Alex Smith and a multitude of injuries simply aren’t as good as the Cowboys. Pick: Dallas
Art Garcia
